"I've been a member of ILTA for the past 19 years. Living and working in regional NSW, being a part of ILTA has been an excellent way to stay connected to Italian teachers across NSW and having a professional Trial HSC paper published annually is also an asset to senior teaching. I would encourage any Italian teacher to join!"
Michelle Went - St John's College
“I have been a member of ILTA for over a decade. ILTA provides many valuable resources and events for my Italian students, in particular, the Italian disco and Trial HSC papers. Angela Porro is very approachable and always developing new resources and ways for Italian teachers to meet and share their knowledge. I highly recommend Italian teachers to join our association.”

"There are many reasons as to why I became an ILTA member. First of all it is all about networking, meeting other colleagues and having fruitful conversation with them. I am a better teacher thanks to them. We learn from each other. It is this connection that helps us share common goals and best lesson plans, what worked , what didn't, basically how we can enthuse our students to be the best they can be and to continue with Italian at the HSC level. It is a great platform to share experiences, lessons, resources. Together we can promote the teaching and learning of Italian, pass on advertisements for exchanges, in-country experiences, competition, tutoring, possible employment and mentoring and volunteer opportunities. Another use is the creation of Trial Papers and other exams. There are either current or past papers for purchase at a discount cost for the ILTA members. Then there are the Year 10 Days , the HSC Study Days and the most fun activity the ILTA Dance that bring us together. ILTA is for anyone who would like to share their love and passion for the Italian language and culture.”

"I have been a member of ILTA for 18 years, the last 11 being as a Leader of Learning for Languages in my current school. Living and working in a regional area of NSW can be isolating, but my membership with ILTA has allowed both me and my students to feel connected to and supported by a network of enthusiastic, dedicated and talented teachers. Every year I make use of the resources offered and created by ILTA and I know that if I need advice or other resources, I can rely on the network to support me and therefore support my students."
