The Forum section of the website is designed to facilitate discussion amongst teachers of Italian. We all have expertise and experience in different areas and have much to share. If you have something you’d like to know more about or something you’d like to add, the Forum is the place to go.

ACARA released a revised timeline anticipating the release of draft Italian National curriculum for consultation some time in December with feedback due in April next year. As an association we will need to provide detailed feedback on the curriculum. Early next term we will organise an ILTA activity to provide feedback.  http://www.acara.edu.au/acara_update_06112012.html

Seeking good recommendations...

Seen any good movies lately? Organised any great excursions? Your experiences could help others as they go about organising films to screen in class and outings for their students. Attached you will find a start to the list that will hopefully overflow with information and ideas. Please send in reports of your experiences. A few quick notes won't take long and could make a huge difference to your fellow teachers of Italian.

Forward Planning

This event will now be May 17.

For those of you that need considerable time when planning excursions and events for your students, ILTA will run an Immersion Day for Year 12 students in Term 1 next year. The aim of the day will be to build confidence in oral skills and students will be expected to communicate only in Italian. Various activities developing oral skills will be organised and the day will conclude with a dinner in the evening. Very few details have been established at this stage but if you would like to be part of the organisation of this day, please reply to this email with your expression of interest.
